I played with the Zebras from Gematria at the Whistlestop last Friday. Shit was RAM! As well, they had a wicked Zebra pinata. If you asked me before whether or not I thought it was a good idea to give someone in a bar a broomstick, after drinking all night, spin them around, and let them loose on a pinata on a dark dancefloor, i would have said no…BUT… it was wicked.

So the vibe was Cumbia, Dancehall, and Moombathon the whole night. I decided to step out a little, and sprinkle a little bit of Trival tunes. These tunes seemed to mash the place up so I went heavy on it for the night. If you have no idea what I’m talking about with “Trival” (Tree-Ball or sometimes 3ball), check this video below. And don’t blame me if you end up with a pair of overly customized pointy boots!

Back to some dancehall history…
The rivalry between Beenie Man and Bounty Killa goes back decades now. It’s a rivalry that goes in and out of the dancehall consciousness, and only takes but a rumor, for the artists to show up on the latest riddim dissing each other.

I’ll be playing in Orlando for New Years at the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal Studios Florida with Slightly Stoopid and Expendables. I’m bringing my partner DJ Peril and we’re going to be doing a pre-party on the 31st, and a new years after party, where it’s rumored, very special guest Mojo Morgan (of Morgan Heritage) will be doing a set.

DJ Peril is going to be touring with Million Stylez in Australia next month. Tribe of Kings International!!!
